Connect your Google Ads account and launch a campaign
Updated 8 Sept 2026
Once your website is live, you can run Google Ads to put it in front of people searching for catering near you — set up entirely from CaterCloud, from the Ads page in the sidebar. CaterCloud's AI drafts the whole campaign for you; you review it, set your budget, and launch. You stay in control the whole way, and nothing spends a cent until you explicitly launch.
Before you start
- Your website needs to be published and live — there's no point advertising a site that isn't ready. Publish it first from Edit your website.
- You'll connect your own Google Ads account, and your card is added directly with Google. CaterCloud never sees or holds your card details.
Step 1 — Connect your Google Ads account
- Go to Ads in the sidebar (or /ads).
- Click Connect Google Ads.
- Sign in to Google and grant CaterCloud access when asked. New to Google Ads? You can create your account as part of this step — Google walks you through it.
Step 2 — Add your payment method
Google requires your card to be added directly with them (not through CaterCloud):
- Click Open Google Ads billing settings.
- Add your card as your payment method in Google Ads.
- Come back to CaterCloud and click I've added it — continue.
Step 3 — Let the AI draft your campaign
Click Draft my campaign. CaterCloud writes your entire campaign — daily budget, location targeting, keywords, and ad text — using your menu, service area and photos already on file. This takes a few seconds and does not spend any money.
Step 4 — Review, tweak, and launch
- Check the draft. Edit anything you like — the daily budget, keywords, or the ad headlines and text.
- Choosing a budget? Start small. Around $20–40/day is typical for a local caterer, and you can change it any time.
- When you're happy, tick the box confirming you understand it will start spending your chosen amount per day, then click Launch my campaign. Your ads go live.
Step 5 — Your Ads Coach keeps an eye on it
Once your ads are live, the Ads Coach on the Ads page reads your performance and gives plain-English advice on what's working and what to change — often a single tap to apply (raise or lower a budget, pause a campaign, or exclude wasteful search terms). You can also pause, resume, or change a campaign's budget yourself any time from the campaign table.
Good to know
- You only pay Google for the ad spend — there's no CaterCloud markup on your ads.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads work the same way from the same page, if you'd like to run those too.
- If a screen doesn't behave as expected, message the CaterCloud team at Inbox → Talk to CaterCloud.
